The current edition of the trade journal “Produktion” includes an article discussing how International Data Space is developing a standard for secure data exchange. The article, which is well-worth reading, gives an overview of how IDS can be established in business practice. “On the basis of the Reference Architecture 2, companies are now designing the first commercial applications”, explains Lars Nagel, Managing Director of IDSA, in conversation with the trade journal, and immediately gives us several examples: “One company that will be using the technology developed by IDS in future is Deutsche Telekom. From the second half of 2018, customers will be able to use the Telekom Data Intelligence Hub (Telekom DIH) for secure data exchange”, the article states. The use cases at Salzgitter AG and SICK AG are also presented as examples.
